Uhm. Trademarks are usually at best regional, sometimes even only national. So if he checks with whatever government agency dealing with registered trademarks in his country, that should be more than enough. Granted, this means he'll have to host and run the site from his country. Depending on law, he will have to recheck for the country he hosts in, if applicable.

 

I disagree with nearly every piece of legal advice I've seen you offer on this forum. I would guess you have no legal background whatsoever.

 

And what, exactly, do you disagree on when it comes to the above statement? Trademarks are not universal, they're registered with a trademarks office within a region / jurisdiction. So I don't understand what was wrong with my statement?
