    Fact: Domain.TLD Not Important
My question was answered by a Google “Top Contributor” and “Level 4”

    My question:

"Are you saying that Google does not look at TLD as in the following:

"Top level domain of web site
Web sites with certain top level domains (TLD) are statistically more likely to contain higher quality, trustworthy contents. For this reason, search engines might prefer web sites with restricted TLD (.edu, .gov., .mil) over younger TLD (e.g., .biz, .info, .jobs).

In addition, country code TLD (e.g., .ca, .de, .fr) are often preferred in the country's local search results. "

    ****

    The answer:

The Only part of that which rings true is the last part - ccTLDs and additional value associated for relevancy in matching/related Country based Google searches (.fr domains are likely to rank higher in google.fr than in google.co.uk and google.com).
All other domains are treated the same.
The only ones that may not be "could" be the .gov and .edu as those often require special circumstances ... but again, as far as we know, G treats them the same too.
The reason they are more "valuable" isn't because G trusts them more - it's because peopel link to them as they are often more worthy, interesting, useful etc. They Naturally accrue links, PR and Relevancy."
