thats just like what happened with poemsoflife.com. I was looking at it a few months ago and it was available, and all of a sudden it was registered to some stupid ad company who just placed a bunch of crap ads on it and claimed to register it since 1999... I should've bought it, but I didn't react fast enough. I will try again though if I can grab ahold of someone before they renew it.

You could look at it this way. You go to your bank manager ask for a loan and of course and submit your business plan. Next thing you know your bank manager has started the same business. It shouldn't work like that.

It's indeed been registered since 2005. Not surprising if Go Daddy's site said it
was available that time, even though it's registered with them.

Sorry but this is just a GoDaddy glitch.

I've had lots of little problems like this.

Hi, personally I don't think godaddy would do that. I wonder though how the whole registry thing works. Who sets the dates as was told here the domain can be told to have been registered from 2004. if you go to whois of another domain seller does it also say 2004? does it mean that the record is in the control of the purchaser registrar always and other registrar would take the registration info from the current owner only or is there more to that? This doesn't make lots of sense. Don't know if this can actually happen.
