Hello, Does it matter for Google if domain have suffix .com or co.uk .com are showing higher ? It's true? Regards
Unless your domain extension matches a specific country you are targeting, the domain extension does not matter. You can get the same rankings with any domain extension. If you are targeting the UK, you should use .co.uk. If you are targeting Canada you should use .ca. And so on. It would be unfair for search engines to give any domain extensions ranking boosts. If they really did that, search results would be full of .gov and .edu websites.
.gov and .edu sites rank so well because they're actually authoritative, not because of the extension itself. This is also why it's still good to try to get those links.
yes, it plays a good role in rankings. Those who say its not, try to rank some site with .info or .biz domain i agree that the general hierarchy is like this. .gov .edu .com .org .net this hierarchy is for general purpose. When you aer trying to rank a local domain its easy to rank it in local search engine but it may not preform that much good in google us version. But again there are many other factors involve in rankings not just domain. though its easy to rank a .co.uk site in google.co.uk SE.
Yes it does matter, goverment domains (.gov, .edu etc.) are more likely to be on top. Then comes .com, .net etc.
I found the link to the site that i was based by educated guess on positive on-page factors number 24.
it just mythbuster it is nt true and always fall into premises, google is not just a stupid robot who follow pattern, google is a robot who follow human behavior.google follow "trends of crowds"so intead thinking hard about .com suffix ,what most important is "branding positioning"del.icio.us id one of the sample
When you choose local domain suffixes like .co.uk, .in, .ru and others - Google by default shrinks the geo search of your site to a specific region or a country
there is also a rumor that google indexes new .info and .biz sites more slowly but please dont take my words as a matter of fact.
