Heya people, I'm a domain seller myself with around 50 domains, business was good last year but not doing too well this year up to now. Just wanna know how's the other domain sellers doing, is business good for you? Also, on average how often do you sell a domain? Is there any way to improve chance of sales?
Sales have been dipping at the moment - not many folks are keen to invest big amount in time of recession i guess. Haven't been able to sell much from my portfolio and auctions too are not giving as handsome returns as they did sometime back! Good luck to you though!
Like anything at the moment, if people are still looking to purchase they will often be looking for cheaper investments.
Yes i ma here i wanna buy a domain ..... .info will do for me but @cheap rate.... can any one please give me ?? payment via LR only waiting add me on yahoomess ---> waiting guys...
@ubuntu, go somewhere else dude - we're here just for discussion lol. Yeh same here, my business havent been do well, so I'm actually thinking of creating another domain marketplace website on my own to aid my business as well. (Since I'm both a developer and a domain marketer. ) Anyone supports on this idea?
I also think that's because 1. Domain selling market is getting more and more competitive, anyone with a small amount of investment could easily bid a dropped pr domain and then resell it for profit...the fastest way to make money online I would say. 2. Aged domain is getting less important in getting google ranking, for super competitive keywords maybe, but niche marketers nowadays focus on "long tail keywords" thus, most of them rather get a brand new keyword rich domain rather than an aged one. 3. Flipping websites is getting more and more popular, plus, people are lazy, they would rather buy a fresh developed website together with a domain rather than just a domain... 4. High pr domains have been hot sellers for long but since google now update pr like crazy...people are more careful when buying pr domains... P.S. Good idea about a domain maketplace website, do let me know when it's up
This is what I want to hear biggestdonation.com Im holding on to that sucker for a long time. 0 traffic. never did anything with it. I tried to buy/sell domains but made 0 profit so I let most expire and kept a few good ones like the one mentioned.
I'm new to this game so I haven't really got as far as selling activley yet. I purchased a few domains and I'm now in the process of selling. Does anyone think the domain market will pick up again?
i agree with jasminelee, go develop your domain names. this will make you easier to flip them (e.g. on forums or flippa), anyway check out my domainers directory, there's a script vendors category. there you will able to find some cheap and easy to deploy scripts. best of luck!
Not so soon I guess, maybe in another 2-3 years before economy picks up again? With the current economy downturn, everybody's heading towards registering new domains rather than buying existing ones at a high price. I'm trying to open up a new option to advertise your domains though, no worries! Will pm all of you here when it's developed next time, or just pm me with your emails if interested.
Develop your names and then worry about selling. Getting a lot of money for fresh reg'd names isn't going to happen in this down economy.
yes, too difficult right now to do this business. Parking, domain worth, advertising and many business type at 'domaining' is weak .... or I'm wrong? I have a hundred domain ... and never sold even I promote in many forum and marketplace ... help me to find the best place to sell . thanks
This is a great thread, I hope more people will add to it. I am continually in a quandry on what domains to buy and sell, new or old and even where to sell them.
how much can you sell sites for? what kind of traffic would you need to get coming in before you can think about selling it for a good price?
