I have a 9 year old domain that hasn't been used for a long time. Never being used for spaming or anything. I ve started using this domain about 4 months ago, the content on the site is up. The link development started about 1 month ago, i got about 20-25 PR3, PR4, PR5 sites linking to me with targeted anchor text links. So far, when i am checking rankings, my site appears on 250, 290s positions for the keywords that i am not even targeted. I have a suspission that domain might going through a sandbox effect. Domain consists of 2 words. 1. when i search in google for "Keyword Keyword" (with space) the site doesn't show up anywhere. 2. when i search in google for "KeywordKeyword" (without space) the site does show up in the first position, same happens when i search for "KeywordKeyword.com"
Not a sandbox issue from your description. Just happens that your competitors outrank you for the keywords?
give it a few more months. even though your domain is old your entire site and its contents are new, so you will have to wait it out until google trusts you. but with a older domain i reckon that could speed up the process so as long as you keep building links, adding content you may very well be in good position in a few months.
Scenario (1) happens when google will temporarily place your site in sandbox mode especially if you are in highly targeted keywords in competitive niche and the fact is that you site is still new give it more reason to be so.
It's normal and happens all the time... backlinks need some time to age and start passing value based on the linking site and quality. Give it more time and you will be fine
This doesn't sound like a sandbox issue to me either. I think you just need to keep working on it. How competitive is the "keyword keyword" term?
I think this might be a backlink issue, rather than being in the google sandbox, you need to build more links to your site, start by adding two more signature links, i notice you only have one at the moment. Then post on other do follow forums and blogs
