I have a question, if you register domains; let’s say 100 domains to build the network of sites, would it be useful to register these domains in the different registrars, at different time so Google wouldn't relate them to each other. Basically I want to make sure Google doesn't know that they are all related. And what do you think of these types of domains plumbersinnewyork.com newyork-plumbers.com newyorkplumbers.com newyorkplumbersinfo.com What do you think of having HIPHENs in domains vs. non hyphen domains? What would you pick out of these 4? Let's say best 2 Thanks
First of all register them with different whois info. If you register them all under your name Google will know that you are the owner of all of them. Second, don't host all the sites on the same server or hosting company. Put 5-6 sites on one company, some others on another company etc. And finally put different unique content on each site. Avoid similar templates and content. I think that hiphens vs. no hiphens don't make big difference in domains SEO but I am not an expert on this and I may be wrong. So let's get some info by other users.
Based on my experience in domains with Google... The domain name is no more a factor or even important to give your website higher ranking or even a priority in the SERP's! But am sure its going to help you with both Yahoo and MSN/Live
I agree. And it doesn't help registering them at different registrars if the WHOIS info is the same. If Google looks up, it only looks up in the WHOIS database and wouldn't go behind the registrar.
Yes, i would definitely host these sites under unique IPs. Now my question is what if i use PrivacyProtect so no one can see if these domains have been registered under one name. Can google still see it?
Doesnt matter whether you register from nodaddy or namedeluxe lol... as long as they are not dropped domains the impact will be the same. And I think Google will understand that anyway, they always do if the author is the same. You cant surpass the their "third eye"
Hey...domain name doesnt mater much, but if you are targeting some KWs which are in domain name then it would be beneficial for u to get ranking on that domain name KWs......thanks...james
I though keywords in the domain name is something from the past. Google seems not to care much about it anymore...
