Domain registration business

Hello,
I want to know if domain registration business is profitable... I was looking at some reseller plans WildWestDomains.com offers, they seem pretty good, but how to get customers ?
When buying a reseller you will get free adsense and msn adcenter vouchers, will they help in advertising your site ?
Are you in this business ? If yes, did you get in positive balance, or you're on 0, or maybe even in minus...

 

If you have 1,000 of people under your belt. Really your much better off in the after market.

There still is some money to be made in reselling domains, although the market is pretty saturated. The adwords vouchers wont get you very far looking at the price you have to pay for domain related keywords. You could however try to get some customers here, just be prepared to sell at very low prices and to have very low profit margins in the beginning.

 

I have not tryed that but I guess if you want to be really competetive, you have to make discounts for the first year (and pay out the rest to your upline from your pocket, thats where big investment must be involved), but you can not guarantee that people will renew their domains after the first year, so you can pretty much end in a big loss, but if you take the risk, you can be very successfull too.

Of course, I can be talking real BS above, since I have no experience in this field.

Domain and hosting is pretty saturated... but it depends on how you do it and how much money you can afford to shell out.

 

I belive that there is room to make money in reselling domains, if you build a niche and know how to market it then you should be fine. WWD offer the voucher but that can be blown within a month.. so what is the plan after that. I am using WWD (super reseller) and RClub and because I have enough resource to make sure they are running smoothly. and I have alot of sub resellers under my that are doing ok. like everyone said this is a competitive business. but there is alot of places/people who are being introduced to the World Wide Web and who knows they might land on your site!
