Domain Registration and Different Host

Ok I've been using Godaddy for registration and dreamhost for hosting for quite some time now and have found it pretty straightforward to get a site up and running.

I just tried registering a domain with namecheap.com and adding the dreamhost nameservers to this domain and it's almost been a day and I still cannot see my site up and running. I've transferred all the files to my DH, setup the nameservers with NC, and unlocked NC for this to be done but to no avail.

Can anyone tell me why this isn't working? I'm getting an unresolved hostname error.

It may take upto 72 hours for your site to be online...

Its normal... if you cant see your site online after that time than you might need to recheck your nameservers

wow okay, because godaddy -> dreamhost takes a matter of hours (maybe 1-2 hours) to get this propogated. Good to know.

Propogation Time. Sometime it's instant, sometimes a few days. To make it resolve faster just on your own comp, go to cmd prompt, type "ipconfig /flushdns"
