I have received two interesting letters from Domain Register of America saying my domain's are due for renewal.

Funny I'm not registered with DROA and the very carefully written letter states:

As a courtasy to domain name holders, we are sending you this notification of the domain name is due to expire in a few months......you can take advantage of our best savings....You must renew your domain to retain exclusive rights to it on the web....Privatization of Domains Registrations and Renewals now allows the consumer the choice of Registrars....This notice is not a bill, it is rather an easy means of payment should you decide to switch your domain name to DROA.

For the pleasure of changing they are going to charge me at least DOUBLE the amount from what my current register does!

I got one of those just the other day. I wonder how many people actually renew through them.

What if you had an auto renew through your register you didnt know, and were 'un-inteligent' enough to go with this comapny... what would happen then  I have a feeling you would neve be seeing that money again.
