Domain Redirection Issue

Domain redirection is hurting SEO or not and if it is hurting our SEO How we recover from it;can you please guyzz explain this concept to me in elaborate means.....

 

301- permanent redirect = google sees it , that the url is changed, permanently to the new url, backlinks etc are calculated for the new domain or location.
301- temporary redirect - its temporary.

domain redirecting doesn't hurt seo IF the url's are the same, and there is a 301 redirection

 

Ok see...I have a site first name e.g. www.old.com and second one is www.olds.com then; is it harmful for our SEO ranking....actually I am very confuse that exactly what should I do...

 

do a 301 redirect with the same url, it should be fine

I don't think that doing a 301 redirection will cause any problems to your website. Do you see any problems with your website or you hadn't tried it yet?
