Hello, I am hosting a vbulletin forum for testing purposes on a free host that gives me a free domain too and I have another domain hosted on 1and1 which I had purchased. I want to redirect/transfer the domain that I purchased to my free host so that when I visit my purchased domain, the forum(on free host) opens. I have been successful in forwarding the domain from 1and1 to the free host through http redirect. Now when I visit my forum, I still see the old domain in the address bar. If I try changing the domain in the admincp then somehow the site gets messed up. It loads very slow and when I look at the status bar, I see that it's trying to load both the old(free) and the new(purchased) domain. Moreover, the site doesn't load completely. It loads like I have loaded the archive page of vbulletin. I have never done a domain name transfer before. So can anybody tell me where am I going wrong? Do I have to do something with my cPanel? There are domain options(parked, addon, sub) available there. Please help me.
