Domain Redemption Period

I would like to register a .net domain that expired January 31, 2008. It was registered with GoDaddy. It is currently in its redemption period. Does anyone know how long this entire process takes? I have the domain backordered and I do not believe that the person will renew it, as it's been a few months already.

    Thanks in advance!

Redemption Period is 30 days. Nothing more, nothing less.

Of course, that's assuming the domain name's status indeed indicates such.

If it's at GoDaddy it's 72 days after expiration before they release it and
the ICANN hold of 25 days expires till it's dropped and can be registered by anyone.
That's if GD doesn't put it in tdNam or someone doesn't reserve it..

The OP stated the domain name's currently on redemption period, which is 30
days flat. After that, it's 5 days pending delete, then it becomes available.
