I have been waiting to register a domain which expired on the 3rd Feb this year and the whois shows that the domain is in the "Redemption Period". This period should of been 30 days, so it should of expired by now.

When will I be able to register this domain and why has it been over 30 days? Anyone else had this problem?

redemption period is upto 45 days but it is upot registry to release the domain that has just expired. So you have to wait until it is available.

It will take up to 80 business day before the domain can be reregister.
So you need to wait at least 2 week more to get the domain.
I suggest you to use domain back order package coz that you can sit back and relax.
