Domain Question

    Hello!
I have planned to buy a hosting account at HostGator. And when you register you can either buy a domain for $15 or you can transfer an existing one.

Does it work to buy two domains, 1.com and 1.info, at GoDaddy, and transfer them to my HostGator account? And if it is, will it cost me anything?

    Kalle :)

Wrong forum but here's my advice:

You can register the domains at Godaddy at set the nameservers to your own (hostgator servers). You won't be able to transfer any domain after atleast 60 days starting from the reg date but you CAN always set your own nameservers.

Register the domains at another place (like godaddy) then login to godaddy and update your nameservers. Wont cost you anything besides the registration and the hosting. Good luck.

Yeah, noticed that it was wrong forum after I wrote this. :( Sorry.

Nice, thanks for the help! This will earn me some money :) But about the nameservers, do they have anything with the ip to do? Because I read something about the shared ip's with hosts. They change from time to time. But that won't affect the nameservers, will it?

    Thanks,
    Kalle :)

Even if you ever did have to change nameservers, this can be easily done at the domain registrar.
