Hi, I have few .net domains , those deal with google traffic. these are keyword domains. I also tell google in webmaster tools, its UK site. But google still taking it as google.com site. How to get rank on google.co.uk for .com or .net domains. Thanks.
In the webmaster Tools setting, associate a Uk region for your .net domains. And do a country wise redirection for your Uk website so that only IP's of UK can access that domain and rest would be redirected to your .com website.
in webmaster tools, i associate it with UK region. But i don't understand redirection and ip process. what is that, and how to do? i also heard that UK web hosting help in this.
Yes, I had the same problem 9 months ago. Changed from 1&1 (German hosting) to a UK hosting company and within 3 months appeared in google.co.uk. You will also want to get some .co.uk backlinks and setup the region to uk in the webmaster settings.
Yes Hosting your Domain in UK will help but have you heard about IP2location Script, this script help you in redirecting a particular visitor on the basis of his/her Ip if IP belong to US any other country then visitor will be redirected to your US website if it belong to UK then he will be able to visit your UK website. Simple
My target traffic is only UK. and not deal in usa. so just want ranking on google.co.uk . no need to redirection. Here is solution 1: in webmaster tools, associate it with UK region 2: Get UK hosting 3: Build .co.uk Backlinks. any other point?
Mention on the site that you're UK - Google is surprisingly good at noticing, in my experience. Otherwise, you might want to swap to .co.uk domains, that is pretty foolproof. My .uk's are hosted in MediaTemple's DC and still rank in the UK
