    Hi guys

I have had this happen to me a few times now, ive had a few domains in mind and queryed if anyone owns them, next time ive checked someone has snapped them all up ?

People must be able to see what Ive been querying anyone know anythign about this ?

Yep, some registrars / domain tools can detect what you searched and possibly register them

I thought so, any way to avoid this and search for domains without having to worry if someones going to nick the domain.

I use http://name.com to check domains and I haven't noticed any of the domains being registered

Try iwhois.com. Been using it for years.

Oh, and don't expect the available domain name to remain that way if you do
not take it on the spot.

So where you queried domain name check availability?
Let others know so that people don't fall in that trap

    Hi there

I queryed it at 1&1 internets homepage, the domain even got registered via 1&1 after as well, not really the end of the world as there are other domains, just a bit annoying lol !

You're quite right. Name.com are nice.
