Hello all, We were discusing about a problem we have with our website and we are not sure how to proceed: We have a main url: www.xxxxxxxxxx.com and we now launched a completely diff business at: http://something.xxxxxxxxxx.com We are doing a strong SEO and exchanging links but we are a bit afraid about how will google react to the subdomain url. any ideas? Thanks in advance, 4n63L
Subdomains are considered completely DIFFERENT domains. When you look at it, www.xxxxxx.com, the WWW is another subdomain. So when you add another subdomain, it's treated as a completely different domain and there is no linking of pagerank between different subdomains. In the end: each subdomain (including www) is considered a different domain.
Thanks both for answering! With so many "updates" lately we got a bit worried google might ban the main url or something. Best Regards, 4n63L.-
what are you talking about Shawn? She said PR in the title...where are you getting siterank and domainrank from?
