If i find a blog with Domain PR 6 and the Page PR is only 3, what does this mean? Is it a PR6 backlink or a PR3 backlink? By the way i am using Fast Blog Finder and this returns the Domain PR as well as the Page PR. I haven't really found any information on this. G.
well...as in "sub-page"...it can be that a domain has PR8, but the sub-page with the entry itself as PR0 or something.
Where your link will be place is that matter. If the page is PR3, you will receive PR3 juice, not PR6. The same goes to page with PR0. But don't avoid the PR0 page, you can still write a blog comment there and who knows, when the next PR update is coming, the PR of that page will also increase. - Dynashox -
You will get PR3 juice.... But will also get credit from the domain being a PR6..... This is why subpages of high PR sites rank well... .Ever wondered why Youtube vids, hubpages and squidoo lens rank well? It is because all the main pages have high PR! A lot of people will say PR doesnt matter....But it does.... Stick highly relevant and 10 highly relevant PR3 links beats 100s of PR0 links anyday... Likewise if you come across a PR4/PR5 link then try and get some link juice from it. It is of no coincidence that high PR pages normally rank higher. There are exceptions, however this is normally how it goes.
There is nothing like a domain PR. Everypage of your site has a PageRank. Most opf the time its same for a Blog. Check my profile for my Blog link.I have just recently written a post on PageRank and Backlinks. I assure you, you'll understand evrything about Backlink and PR
