I have a kids games website, and the other when checking the webstats i notice a adult domain 301 redirecting to our website, what can i do to stop them, i check the whois but it's private and i emailed namecheap but this is what they reply.

    Hello ****,

We are the registrar of the domain name only. You need to contact the company who is hosting the website as they are the ones that are actually pointing the domain to your website.

You might be able to determine who is hosting the site by tracking down the nameserver information or by finding out who controls the IP number that provides the nameservers.

AFIAK linking or redirecting to another site is in no way illegal. Their redirect could conceivably hurt you in terms of SERPs, but isn't doing anything more than that. You can block traffic coming from that redirect if you want to.

Agreed with the above. Use different methods and ban the server IP (if you can acquire it) and redirects from that domain.
