I have an economy GoDaddy hosting plan. I am thinking of hosting my second website. The thing is that the economy plan does not allow for hosting of multiple domains. What I can do is point domains to subfolders like this: a.com (main domain) points to the root of my hosting b.com (second domain) points to /b/index.php With htaccess you can do this and the visitor will not see any difference in the URL bar. My question is this: having b.com on the same IP, using htaccess with rewrites to point to a folder at a.com, will that affect SEO of any of the domains? Thank you very much guys!
hi i have already 5 using htaccess for my 5 sites on single hosting plan for all domains and i have don't face any problem. Thanks.
IMO, there will be no difference since the rewriting is being done by the apache server - but I would like to get more confirmation before I follow this path Thanks for your feedback!
