Domain parking

Hi there, I am planning to try domain parking... is it really worth it. will I earn like my MFA sites?

Not sure but I think it depends on domain name and the site where you park it, I heard sedo is good place to park.

 

why is sedo a good place?

 

I got recommendation that Sedo is the place, have parked a dozen last week, and just monitoring them for now. So far getting hits (don't know how) but can't comment on how good the service would be over the long run. Simply parking doesn't really help, you also have to optimize and design your pages to get more traffic.

I have about 100 domains parked with Sedo. Revenue is peanuts but I sold one of them a few month ago for U$ 5K.
You need really good "type-in" domains or domains that had traffic in a previous live in order to get any kind of decent revenu.

 

Sedo is definately not the place to park if you would like to get more than a few cents per click. Just about anywhere else would be better than Sedo!

I haven't tried this yet but I know someone who has had great success with whypark. I'm probably going to sign up with them myself.

I use Namedrive.com. I usually get 11 cents per click there and their parked page looks much better than Sedo. If you're planning on selling domains on Sedo, then park it with them or else they'll charge you extra money for the sold domain...

Namedrive banned me for advertising the names. Parked allow certain methods of advertising. I always check with the account manager first. The most I have had paid to me of one click is $8.00. SEDO dont pay any where near this.

Although saying this for some reason certain names do better for me on SEDO. They just get more clicks per visit than when those names were on Parked.

 

I agree with JamesB. Some names work with Sedo while some dont. I had one click which paid me $4 on Namedrive while all other clicks are 2 cents or so. Sedo pays peanuts but has a neater interface and pays about 6 cents avg for all my websites. I am trying WHYPARK with a site. I have listed them below. I have around 1-10 hits per day with little or no advertising and make pennies each daily on them. Gets me some pocket change
