Domain Ownership History

    When I visit this site - www.profitfromus.com (Indian site).. , Alexa toolbar shows me stats of 1-viagra-pillshop.com (US based site).

    Can someone explain this?. Is it that this domain - Profitfromus.com was earlier owned by these viagra sellers and Alexa data hasnt been updated?

    Is there any way to check history of ownership of a domain?

    Also this site got banned from adsense. Could this have been the reason?

    Try the way back machine and check on the domain name. I think URL is archive.org .

    I was actually looking for Ownership history...I mean who all have owned the domain in the past. Nevertheless , I now know the domain was owned by someone else in the past...there are pages archieved back in 2002 at archive.org.

    I've used this service before (costs $15/month) and have successfully found historical whois information. It doesn't have all past data, but it does seem to have most from 2003 onwards.
