    Hello
everybody... I bought a website from somebody and had some very serious issues with the guy as he was trying to run away with money... I reported the guy to local law authorities. He had to give everything to me.
He transffered the domain to my account with is registered with ukreg.com. I have the domain in my account but the whois info is still under that guys name and in order to change it i have to sign a form and owner have to sign a form too to change that info... He said that he will not sign the form...
I am just worried that can he still get the domain back by dispute or anyother means easily... I have domain in my account and its locked... I have a lawyer solving this issue but i was just looking for any ideas or answer to can he get the domain back??

    Please help thanks:eek:

What registrar requires signed forms to change the WHOIS info on a dot-com? If it is in your account, you should be able to change it, period.

I kind of have this same thing, I thought it was normal, at least I think it is. If I search my website at Alexa.com, in the contact information I get the info from my provider, his name and his number. Its not really fair actually.

Although I had updated my contact information, still it shows his…

Yes for .UK in order for the domain to be transferred under your name, the previous owner has to send a signed form.

I had never been in similar shoes, but if whois info at nominet (UK registry ) [just search at google for nominet url as forum is not allowing me to post the url] shows the other guy as the owner then I presume he is still the owner. Then you can try pursuading him, failing which you can take assistance of dispute resolution services of nominet

If you having problems changing your info then transfer the domain to another registrar. Namecheap.com is a enom reseller and they are good. Everything in the control panel. A lot of people us GoDaddy also but I don't like them. I had a site setup though CLickbank and some affiliates spammed with my URL so GoDaddy seized it. Wanted me to pay a $100 admin fee to unsuspend it. I just transferred it to namecheap. No problems since.
