    hi

i have a query about domain names.

Is it true that search engines give higher priority to dot com names than other domain extensions like dot info etc.

    bye

i don't think so, .com is the king. but for visitors, most of the people think at a website with a dot com. you may rank well even with other extensions, you need good and unique content, strong keywords and loads of backlinks. even better if your site is linked back by high pr sites.

i have some dot info sites but they are not getting indexed with google or yahoo nor they are visible in the first 100 results ..... thats why i thought dot com domains get more priority.

from my experience Google not give priority of .com with other domain extension . you me get good ranking from domain extension other then .com .ts not a issue for Google.
