domain name

    hi, just to check with the expert. is there any way to register a domain name under our own rather than a hosting coy? just like in the end, it seem like the hosting own our domain. if we met a bad hosting coy, i think it would be a nightmare

    If I'm reading this question right, it's never good to purchase your domain name from your hosting company and should keep them separate. You can buy your domain name from another company like "namecheap" and then transfer it to the hosting provider you're using.

    Yes. I buy my domain names through "namecheap" or another registrar and not through my host. After purchasing my domain name, I forward it to my hosting account. This keeps things separate.
