You can kinda estimate, how many search results are there for that particular domain name and how many searches a month for it will kinda help you determine.
If you have no idea how much a domain worth, you can use these sites to get a "hint" about value... http://www.estibot.com http://www.valuate.com http://domainindex.com But if you have a 2 letter .com domain you can sell it for $XX.XXX.XXX
I also have a domain I would like to know how much it is worth: http://speech2text.info I know that the search on both "speech to text" and "speech 2 text " is huge but do you recommend I sell it as a domain?
your domain was registered at: 2013-08-03 plus speech2text.us and speech2text.biz domains are available to register I see no value for Info domains... but you can try your luck... my suggestion is to never renew that domain
I really bought it to do a business website that would sell transcribing audio to text. However, I have 2 other sites and I don't have much time for it too. I won't renew it. Thanks for the advise I would love it if you check my other website and tell me how much it is worth: http://freelancewritertips.com it is still new but I am getting traffic.
If you want to continue your business with "speech2text", buy speech2text.us I like your second domain name "freelancewritertips.com" but you will need a little on page/off page seo, you can also use Adsense to monetize your website. Lear more about search engine optimization here
You can also try http://instica.com and you can post domain names for appraisal by other people at http://instica.com/insight/. Seems pretty new but nonetheless it's another way to get a ballpark value of how much you domains are worth.
The fact is that those online appraisel websites are never accurate.A domain name is worth whatever the buyer thinks its worth. So if i would really need your domain "speach2text.info" and wannit really bad i could pay you xx.xxx$ .That doesen't mean its really worth that much.If you have enough money to invest in SEO it doesn't really matter what the domain name is as long as is a .com.Things you should take in consideration when trying to give a value to a domain are: *to be short *to be pronounceble *to NOT be a trademark *how easy it is to type it *how easy it is to remember *exact searches per month *if it has any PR *how many of the other extensions are taken And if you are a begginer my advise will be to allways stick to .COM domain names.Other domains apart from .COM and in some cases .NET are a waste of money and time.I hope i could help you. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing, it is so useful. Yeah I will probably try to sell it when I have the required likes here, if not then I would just drop it if I don't have time for it, eventhough I think it would be profitable.
Instica said my site is worth $104,000 lol if I could get that for it I would sell it within the blink of an eye... I don't really trust these valuation sites they all give different valuations based on different factors, some detect backlinks and search rankings better than others, so really the valuations can be very mixed and you shouldn't get your hopes up til you get a professional appraisal from somebody who knows what they are talking about
Funny, I checked www.domaindex.com by "abyse" and it shows a domain name of mine for sale that I have never put up for sale!
I have a premium paid account in estibot. I plan to reach my plan's limit offering this as a free service here, if people want it
I would highly recommend to everyone to take the time to watch the following video interview and to take notes on what is said. #1 mistake many domain resellers make is under valuing their domains and selling to other domainers. Also stay away from any FREE or PAID domain appraisals. Services like estibot and valuate are good tools for finding details on your domain name but their $ appraisals should not be followed imo.
