So if "DOMAINXYZ.com" is being sold for $2500 or is worth $2500, how much is "THEDOMAINXYZ.com" worth?

Has to be worth a least $XXX, right?

ok, what if it does make sense?

One domain I have now - TheBlogHater.com (this is not the domain I am questioning about) - the "the" makes perfect sense, but you are saying even if BlogHater.com sold for $2500, TheBlogHater.com is still worthless?

the "the" prefix works for some domains not for all

"is being sold for" - by that you mean it's listed for sale for $2.5k NOT that it's sold for $2.5k, correct? If so, anyone can list a domain for any price they want, but doesn't mean that it will sell for that price.

If you mean "has sold for", having the word "the" in front is serverly reduces the value of the name, so I wouldn'd say $xxx for the name, I would say more like $xx if the domain sounds ok with the word "the" in front of it.

One of the reasons I was going to buy the domain was because I wanted to use it as my company name, and I think it works better with the "The" vs. without it. I was just wondering if I had it a semi-goldmine by purchasing the domain.

I also found out it was some guy selling the domain (the $2500 domain), and not a company like I thought. So, the guy is probably crazy for wanting that much money.

What an "A" before the domain, or am I still going to get the same response?
