Has anyone here thought of a formula on how to value a domain based on the Google data for its keyword?

What we have to work with: global monthly search volume, number of organic results, number of adwords results, adwords cost per click

traffic, number of links, age of domain, search volume all these could be factors for this.

the global search volume is most important for a domain since it means the traffic.

Anything generic is going to have value... for example.. jobs.com, employment.com, personalloans.com, creditcards.com, mobilephones.com etc.

Other then that, Google Keyword Tool will help you a little bit too.

Lets be honest in this day and age most domains are pretty worthless. Only keyword domains and big brands are worth a lot.

    i dont agree with jamiee

a good chosen domain can change the projects future - unless you are not doing a project totally focused SEO - but it is a dumb idea anyway. even you have SEO tactics, you need direct users! so a good product!

Google keywords data is not far from useless in my opinion. I have domains with 300k plus EXACT matches that get minimal visitors despite ranking top of all the search engines
