IS it illegal to buy a domain like:

    onlineflashgames2007.com - For Example

Then put your own site on it just to steal traffic form the keywords in the domain??

Even if the owner of onlineflashgames.com got annoyed would they be able to do anything?

They could file a dispute against you and try to take the domain away. This would be made difficult for them if you have a legitimate site set up and can show that you are using the domain name for a good reason rather than just to catch typo traffic.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. They're just generic keywords in a domain.

Agree with the above . . . too generic for any real concern. Not like it's OnlineYahooGames2007.com or easportslive2007.com

I agree that the domain name itself isn't a problem. If it was the company's name (sony2007.com) then you'd be infringing on their legal right to use the name. Even worse would be to use their name and include their products to pretend you're Sony! But just keywords won't matter unless they've trademarked them.

I would think that the type of content on your page also comes into play. If your site is legitimate and you aren't taking their content and products and duplicating it to create confusion amongst customers there shouldn't be a problem. That is just competition. Competition isn't illegal - capitalizing on their trademarks and products can be.

If you want to start parking stuff like that, I'd go for the common
mis-spellings. You're likely to have more available domains to buy,
    and traffic will be higher.
