I hope I posted in the right place. I have a 5 year old website with pretty good traffic, but I'm wondering if the following might bring in more traffic. ------------------- My domain is keyword1(plural)-keyword2.com keyword1(singular)-keyword2.com is taken, as are most versions using articles like in, of, and, etc. One of the more popular searches is for "keyword1(singular)-of-keyword2" I guess the SEs don't really "see" the of? I came across an unregistered domain: keyword1(singular)-for-keyword2.com I'm thinking that the SEs will treat for as a "non search term" and I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a good bet to get the domain and park it on my own keyword1(plural)-keyword2.com?
Domain parking really works when you have domains that don't have hyphens. Not too many people are going to type the hyphen specifically into the address bar unless the product/service/brand has a hyphen in it. So, it probably won't bring in more traffic, but that doesn't mean you couldn't buy up those domains and make little "satellite" sites for your "mothership" site. Then you could completely take over the SERPs for your main keyword's with various sites.
So your saying that if I get the non-hyphenated version (and it is available as well), it has more type-in potential? Are you talking about a stand alone site that links to "mother" or basically a redirect?
