Domain name SEO and organisation info odd question

Hello digitalpointers. I find this a marvellous source of information :).

Apologies for posting this if it's a repeat. I don't really know what to search for since I think it's a bit of an odd question.

Here's what I'm trying to do.

I want to provide information about an organisation - well call it Ajax SEO (I hope it's not a real company, domain is already registered but not to me) - but I have no relationship with Ajax SEO. I know the idea of one website providing information about another organisation is not original - forums discuss organisations, wikipedia has pages and pages of stuff, travel websites have pages about hotels, and so on, and they're all optimising their pages with keywords in links to try to improve ranking in The Google.

I could add a page to my own website and do my best to optimise it so example.com/ajax-seo/ ends up ranking nicely in The Google.

However, as luck would have it, lets assume I manage to register ajaxseo.com. I then put up a few pages describing what Ajax SEO does, perhaps a few links to useful sites for example google.com, digitalpoint.com :D, maybe add a forum or comment page, etc, add a location map and contact details for them. Then add a bit of adsense so I get some reward for providing what is hopefully useful and accurate information.

Can I get into trouble for that? Does it depend on the domain name registered? Does it depend on if the domain name is .com, .info etc? Country? Company size?

I don't imagine this is a particularly original idea, I often see .coms for new companies already registered by someone obviously not related to the company, and then a parking page is put up. And of course companies can and do retrieve domain names from squatters. But I see this as something different - there's some internet real estate for sale, I bought it, and now I'm building something on it that will be useful to visitors.

If there is a problem, where would a line be drawn?

    ajax.com
    ajaxseo.com
    ajax-seo.com
    all-about-ajax-seo.com
    ajaxseoinfo.com
    ajaxseowiki.com

    ajaxseo.info
    ajax-seo.info

    Thanks for any thoughts :)

Ok, I'm beginning to find an answer to my own question. But I think I've started this in the wrong forum. Is there a way to move it? I keep seeing a forum called "legal issues" when searching, but I don't see it on the home page?

I should add that I have included a statement on every page on one such site that says "this site is informational only, is not the official Ajax SEO site, and has nothing to do with Ajax SEO". Does that make a difference?

An update to this topic. I don't really have an answer yet but after reading some more, I suspect using the .com version of a company name might be skating on thin ice, even if it is just information. So what I've done is shift the information to the .info version of the same name, and do a URL forward from the .com to the .info. Any comments?
