Please don't think the other way....I am new to this forum....I am having doubts....just want to clarify before active participation

    Here are my questions:confused:

    Domain name selling.

I am having a domain name registered at smallbusiness.yahoo.com on an email id
Selling it means what? Do I need to give that Yahoo user name and Password? What if I have bought some other domain names with same user id? How to sell them? OR do I need to purchase each domain name with a separate account?

    And One more question

If i buy a Domain name?

If I wanted to buy a domain name…what is the seller in DP is going to give me?....if he registers the domain at some other vendor than Yahoo small Business

There should be a place that says transfer.. It might give you the option to send it to someone else's yahoo account or it will give you a number for transfer which the person on the recieving end would have to enter in and the transfer would start.

2)He will ask you to create an account at godaddy or some other place then push it over to your account.

    Hope this helps :)

    Hi Urbanchaos

If you want to sell a domain, you just transfer the domain to registrar that buyer has pointed to.
I'm not sure the process to transfer the domain at yahoo. You can contact Yahoo how to transfer a domain to other registrar.

If you want to buy a domain it depends on your agreement with the seller.
The seller will ask the price for the domain. And if you feel that the price to expensive you can make offer.
Usually buyer and seller will choose escrow service for the transaction.
Escrow service is a third party company between seller and buyer. Escrow service is used to avoid fraud transaction.

    Regards

I can not say which one is the best. I use two registrars, Godaddy and Moniker. They both have good reputation on domain name registrar. You can choose which one you like. And there are another registrars beside two that I mention. such as dynadot, snapnames, namecheap etc..

If you want to sale your domain you can go to afternic or sedo.
