A registrar lock just means that you cannot transfer it to another registrar. There is nothing that I know of saying you cannot sell a newly acquired domain name as all you are doing is changing the ownership information with the current registrar.

If it's a registrar lock, you just will not be able to transfer the domain away to another account, You could still sell the domain and transfer it to another account within the same registrar.

Than you can sell it to someone who has a Godaddy account.

That is easy you just need to push the domain to another Godady Account. If the buyer dont have a Godaddy account then ask him to register with Godaddy.
In Godady go to your account, go to the domain you want to push and click "Change Account".

DeepBlue in this case how does Sedo verifiy that the domain has indeed been transferred(account changed) to the seller?

After account change the buyer can change domain contacts information to match his profile info at SEDO. But I dont think that is necessary when selling at SEDO because SEDO behaves as an escrow agent and will keep the money until the buyer confirms successfull domain transfer, after the confirmation SEDO will release the money to the seller.
