Hello, I am really curious about this and want to know as to what time zone is considered when one registers a domain name. Does ICANN has any set time zone or is it the local time of the registering company or is it the local time where I am while registering. Take for example, someone from London registers through an American company, do they consider GMT? or one of American time zones? Reason why I am so curious about this, Again for example, someone from Japan registers through say ENOM. The guy from Japan does it at 2AM on the first of the month, but, ENOM is one day behind say 30th of previous month. Also if UTC or GMT is considered, the registration still occurs one day behind for him (yesterday) and that is what will be shown in the whois. And therefore, what time is displayed on the whois record? So, can some one explain this weird thing to me please. Thanks.
