I have a problem with one of my domains and would appreciate any insight you can supply that may help in correcting my probel. I have about 120 domains with Godaddy and am having a problem with onlineshopping.com which I purchased and had it transfered to Godaddy with no problem. I have tried to change nameservers both to parking and my own hosting as well as redirect but nothing works.I have emailed Tucows as the Original registrar as well as Above.com which it appears to be parked with. I get no answer from either. Whois information will also not update.I did notice that Above is located in Caymen Islands. I have a feeling that I have been taken. Anyone have any input on this type of matter.
Where did you buy the name from? Is it actually in your GoDaddy account? Are you sure you actually bought onlineshopping.com and not some domain which uses foreign characters? I am wondering if you are actually the owner of some similar but different domain name?
Read the emails if you have, It takes up to 24-48 Hours to prograte after a name server change or any update on the domain. Maybe give the domain place or webhost a email or via phone.
I have done all of the above except phone. Tucows does not respond by phone but am willing to try the Above.com phone in Caymen Islands which I will do. Am also trytin to get back to the seller of the Domain. Thanks
I think I know the problem... I am experiencing near the same problem as you. Its your ISP updaing slow. Meaning your cache the old pages not new ones. Contact your ISP if the domain management department says nothing is wrong.
Hate to admit it but finally figured it out. I was taken!!! When it was sold to me, if you look at the correspondence everything looks fine. It was advertised as onlineshopping.com and looked just like that. But what I bought was onlinesh0pping.com, using a "0" instead of an "o". It was not evident as to substitution of the "o". That is why it transferred to my registrar without problem. I am sorry for taking up your time on a matter like this but have learned from my error and that it takes all kinds.
