Domain name privacy is intended for people who do not want to disclose their real identity or further information, such as address, email, phone number, etc.

Nothing wrong unless you mask your identity for illegal purposes.

The owner of the domain name is still the one who registered it whether or not it comes with Domain Name Privacy. Nothing changes except in the WhoIs information, it does not show the owner information.

Some places like GoDaddy and Namecheap still allows you to email the owner of the site using the anonymized email address in the WhoIs.
