Domain Name Ownership

    Hello,

I recently opened an LLC with legalzoom. I have a domain that I want covered under the LLC for protection. Does anyone know of any registration companies that will allow me to register the domain under the LLC name? Basically I need the domain to be owned by the LLC so it will have it's protection.

    Thanks

As far as I know, all domain registrars allow you to change the whois to reflect ownership by a corporation or LLC.

As mjewel said, though with a slight correction, many registrars allow people
to register domain names under their LLCs or so. The important thing is to put
in the name of a living human or an existing legal entity.

Only catch left is to take your pick among the gazillion choices out there.

Thanks for the info. If I have private registration, can I still change the ownership or legal registrant to the LLC?

If you're using your registrar's privacy service, ask them. Some will change it,
others will still keep the registrant name hidden while you change it within the
    account.
