I would recommend you visit Google and type in.. site:domain.com -Do this to verify the domain is currently listed in Google. Next, jump over to Ahrefs, com and type the domain in there. Perform a lookup on it and see what the results look like. Check out the backlinks for it and see if they are of good quality or not. Finally, visit who,is and perform a whois lookup on the domain. Pay attention to the "registered on" portion of the whois results and you can see when it was registered. Was it registered last month? last year?..etc.

First pick up a domain that you´d like, you can check expired domains at expireddomains.net/ then go to majesticseo.com to check for backlinks and extra data about the domain.

you can use this tool to check if the domain is banned by google or not: http://www.iwebtool.com/google_banned

My question is bit simple as why do you need to buy from him? I think purchasing a domain by you is not expensive anymore. In fact, if you want you can use “99word” or "99WORD" Coupon code on GoDaddy and you will receive your .Com domain at just 99 cents price and honestly I don’t think any person can provide you a .Com cheaper than this so select your own instead of taking risk with purchasing from someone else.

You should buy a domain name from domain registrar or genuine brokers for buying expired domain names. You will find tools on website to check the availability of a domain name and the registration process is very simple.

Exactly mate and biggest thing is that at the moment there are so many cheap offers by giants of domain sellers like GoDaddy. As I just mention previously you can get a .Com domain now at only 99 cents with "99WORD" promo codes so you can really enjoy it and at least if it does not work you can easily sell it later when the scheme might run out as the original price is around 12-14$ for .Com domain.

Not sure if the guy is selling you an "expired domain" or a brand new one. Basically the things you are looking for is:
    1) Does it show up in google when you search it.
    2) Is the PR Real? Use PageRank Checker
    3) Use Ahrefs.com and look at "referring domains"
    4) Look to see if there is any spam links coming from anywhere (thousands of links coming from 1 domain). The usual culprits are chinese(.cn) and Russian(.ru) Sites.
    5) If the links check out, move on to the anchor text. You'll need to make sure there isn't any spam anchor text either. Any brand (Face Book, Facebook, Face books) or URL (http;//example) anchor text can be very high (~50%), but other than that they should be lower than 10%.

If all of these check out it is simply a matter of how power the links to the domain are and the authority it holds.

    Hope this helps :)
