I have spoken to a few people in the USA since my last post and found that it is a very bad offence to harbour a criminal in the USA. The ACT is slightly different in the United States and it is actually much more serious. I contacted a Lawyer in California and he has briefed me a few important aspects. The Culprit that has been reported to register.com has fraudulently made 2 attempts to used my Credit Card, he has also taken over my Hotmail account by using the same details and by this taking place it has become fraud.

I was told to notify the FBI so I submitted a very convenient online form that they have on the site and it notified me that someone will get back to me ASAP! I will now go to a Solicitor firm here in England and speak to someone that has good knowledge of how to take things further. To be honest I should have done this in the first place instead of relying on register.com’s legal department.

Also this evening I have sent another support ticket to Hotmail regarding my trouble with trying to get my account back. I really hope that they will reply to me with positive news.

Earlier today I have found a duplicate copy of my web site here: bondandmayfair.co.uk which has been put up by the Culprit register.com are harbouring. This is now going to effect my business even further. I have worked too hard and too long for this type of activity to take place.

Hope the FBI reply by the morning.

Glad to read you got it back. Could you perhaps describe how so others can
    learn from this?

People shoul not use a free e-mail service for something this important. These are notorious for being fraudulent and easy targets for hackers. Invest in e-mail with one of your domains and you will likely be at least a little better protected.

Hi guys been some time since I last logged in been very busy, moving home etc. I just realised Dave Zan actually asked me a question! 2 Years or so late but it's never too late.

Never keep anything with your personal information in a free email account i.e. Hotmail, Yahoo etc. They are very easily breached by guessing mothers maiden name etc.

Never use an unsecured wireless network, not that I would but I did see a few cars parked for a long while with lights on outside my house during that period. (Might have been paranoid but you never know!)

Never tell people how well you are doing and how good you are at it.

I could go on and on but these are the main lessons I have learnt Dave.

Heh, we're all busy with our lives. And make sure to keep that name safe.
