I have launched a new forum about domain names. Let me know your ideas. I just lauched it right now and am asking for some reviews. Thanks I appreciate the donation of your time for reviewing my site.

Add some content and make it look active(create some users and make posts).

 

But it will be cheating would it? Your idea is a nice one but I was thinking of everything real. Please people I would like to hear for this. Should I make some posts and content or should i let it get posts as it comes from users.

Nice site would consider registering. but i don't liked the blue color of it. anyway it is upto you.

 

You might want to reduce the number of categories in the forum - build it slowly as members join up. Otherwise it looks very empty.

 

Yeah you are right but Now it has just passed 10 or 12 hours and I have made 10 members in that time. They are posting but very slowly. So I think descent true posts will work out here then all the dummy data that is of no interest to any one. What are your ideas on it.

Absolutely. One of the good things about domain name forums is that there are 1,000s of unsuccessful sellers stuck with names. They'll be more than happy to fill up 3 categories that give them hope that they will make the big sale that they've been dreaming of. Forum looks good btw

The thing is that no one wants to post in a forum that

1. Has a lack of threads
2. Isn't active

which means that you need to either get your friends to post or post your self(speaking with yourself). You stop this process after a few months when you have enough active users.

 

Yeah but Dear latehorn. I don't have many friends who would be interested in internet and domains. they are all engineers and doctors. They just start vommiting when I talk about internet. I think I would have to slowly buiuld up my community. Thanks for the advice. I will starts and develop nice tools and give them for free on my forums. Will it do?
