What you think of this domain name for job portal. JobContacts.co.uk

I am planning to develop it soon so any suggestion is welcome. It took me many months to come up with that but if someone can recommend something better than I would really appreciate it.

Are you seeking suggestions for the name or for the content?

For such name I may say it sounds good to develop a hiring/head hunters directory.

Seems like a good name to me. Your keyword is there whilst 'Contacts' is complimenting. You could also think about your keywords. What will be your main keyword? 'Job Portal'? 'Job Search'? You can then research synonyms for parts of the keyword and use that within the domain.

Remember it's not just about the domain name - there's the content and other aspects of seo but the fact that you've spent time researching the domain name shows that you're aware of the importance of research and planning.

    Good luck with it all!

It is always best to have a basic description in your domain name. It makes it so much easier for SEO and Google searches.

For some time now I have been planning to start a job board or job listing site.

Indicial idea was to have a site where employers can submit the jobs and I was planning to use as many different categories as possible but then I thought that it would be just to big project to get it going properly so instead I should just concentrate on one particular sector like accounting for example.

I know that in this case it would be nice to have accountancy jobs mentioned in domain name but then I would limit my options if in the future I want to expand the site and add more different categories.

I do like the idea that Mystique mentioned, it is certainly worth exploring.

The name sounds good for your niche and you can very well start using this name...for catering to a specific category like accountancy as well and there is no need to be very specific in the name itself. As you rightly said... it would limit your future expanding potential.
In the meanwhile.... your content can be category specific to bring you the visitors for that category! :)
