I guess it should be safe since buydomains.com is taking the bulk of the financial risks on your behalf.

However, I believe in only buying what you can afford. As long as you go into debt financing, you would be put in an uncomfortable position because the site in which the domain name is used must be able to offer you sufficient income to cover the monthly repayment. It is a risk that I cannot stomach but if you are sure you can make good money right away then go ahead. It is after all your call.

DomainCapital.com is a well know company also promoted by Moniker at their auctions. Haven't financed any domains myself, so wouldn't really be able to comment

I recently spoke to them about their terms and you must have domain valued (by Moniker) at least $10,000 although they prefer above $20,000. They will lend up to 60% of value for 5 years at 15%.

That's a pretty good deal for Domain Capital. Lend you 60% LVR of the value of your domain while in 5 years your domain increases in value significantly so they don't have any risk in the transaction at all if you default on the loan.
