Okay as many already know that .COM is the best when it comes to rankings while .ORG and .NET follow it with just some lower score. Even .CO is ranking pretty well for me at a site but its new so hard for some people to comment. So I have a 3 word keyword lets say 'heart attack symptoms'. Since .COM is not available I like to have some suggestions, here is what I have. Heartattacksymptomsx.com ( some people believe google disregards the end word ) Heart-attacksymptoms.com Theheartattacksymptoms.com Heartattacksymptomsguide.com Heartattacksymptoms.co I really want to know what could rank best in .COM out of these and then we would end up with a fight between that version of .COM vs exact phrase .CO domain. You're welcome with anything else.
Short domain is best. You can get suggestion have many online domain suggestion tools. If you do not get short domain then you can get 2 or 3
short domain names are the best. think about what it would look like on your business card. if its too long who is going to want to email you? lol
Heartattacksymptomsx.com ( some people believe google disregards the end word ) Here is an example of successful websites. Keywords: thinning hair
of course its a big factor. sometimes people search to buy a product like something.com. in the browser. and these are really the real buyers. so its very important that you should select your domain name very carefully. thanks
Of course, that's great. My keyword is a full niche/ phrase so it has to be exact than to be short. Hence excluding the short domain suggestions, I believe options 2-4 would rank the same ( not sure how the dash is interpreted compared to a different word ) while option 1 and 5 would rank better I believe. What do you say? @Tamaras: Your post example was the best mate.
Lets say we want domain at a keyword How to make computer What would be the best choice, eHowToMakeComputer.com ?
the shorter the domain name the better. some people claim .com's are better, but this has nothing to do with how search engines rank different domains. the reason .com's are preferred is because most people that use computers are always going to type in www._blank.com, not www._blank.org or www._blank.info or w/e. For ranking purposes there should be no difference, however you will get more live organic traffic with .com's from people typing in the exact name. i would go with your exact match domain name .co ... it will rank well for your target keywords.
Depends... if its strictly for SEO I would go with #2 because the - can arguable help separate the keywords to help! But if you are using it on a business card for actual promotions I would stay away from hyphens and pick #4. 2 cents
when i use g00gle i see 90% .com 3/7 .net/.org i never saw *.co .. only when i typing "affiliategateways"
