Hi! I just launched a new website at icontuners.com. Immediately after the launch the site was stuffed with guitar related Adwords ads in the Adsense ad spots on the site. The word "guitar" is not mentioned ONCE, but still this is happening. Perhaps anyone can tell me why this is happening? My first thought was that this had to be related to the word "tuners" in the domain name, but I have not done any further investigations. If my theory is correct, choosing a keyword targeted domain name when dealing with Google Adwords and Google Adsense is extremely important - and not only when working on SEO campaigns. This does not come as a shock for since I've been in this industry for above 12 years - but I have never seen that the domain influences the adwords/adsense ads as much as this alone. Contextual advertising at it's worst? What do you think?
