Okay lets say you promote a company, they obviously have the .com but you can get hold of the .org is there any instant benefit in terms of SEM? Can a country specific tld with the company name help put trust in purchasing from you rather than the real .com? Thanks
The domain extension carries no specific value in search engine rankings; they are all treated equally. However, cc-TLDs tend to rank better in their respected geo-graphical area.
