I hope I'm posting in the right place... I had a domain name (With web site already established) that had expired for a total of 5 days before I renewed. I renewed yesterday. But before I renewed, I noticed that my URL address (biblepapers.com) would be redirected to the following URL address: http://www2.searchresultsdirect.com...a1fd11f97a2864fbbaaad57acb48419993211&ac300=2 Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? My hosting server (hostican.com), is saying that it has nothing to do with anything at their end. I emailed my Domain Registrar (Vexat) about the problem earlier today, but haven't heard anything yet. I was thinking that perhaps they parked it at this redirecting address until the complete deletion period arrived. But like I said, I renewed only after 5 days of expiration. The dns servers are pointed correctly. Unless it has to go through a propagation period all over again? Any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated.
If your saying you renewed it after expiration then yes, they're redirecting it.. if you've paid it should fix your self after dns re-propregation
There's a multitude of things that could have been going on. It's possible the domain was put on hold and just didn't resolve at all.... then perhaps you own computer or your own ISP was redirecting you to that page. Or the registrar themselves could redirect your domain while it's expired. Either way, it's not something to be particularly concerned about.
