    Hi all,
I am a Persian and newbie here, and have some questions,
however may you already have discussed them
but if some one can answer me here, would be greatful,

Yahoo register domain names for only 1.99$ which seems cheap,
but I also decide to register a web hosting, which may its not yahoo
    for example godaddy, ixhotsting, dot5...

then how the domain name and web hoster could be related?
I know less about web site systems,

I mean can I register the domain name in yahoo and use it in other web hosting sites,
off course I don't want pay additional costs

    please guide me

Yes, you do not need to register the domain name at the same place where you get your web hosting.

When you sign up for a web hosting account, you will be provided with the DNS Servers details which you would use at your Domain Name Registrar. This will link the domain name with your site.

godaddy offers $1.99 domains if you host through them.

However, to answer your question, you just point the nameservers of the purchased domain to the address of your hosting. Your hosting company should be able to help guide you.

I'd recommend you use namecheap for domains and hostgator for hostings.

    thank you for your responses,

then you mean I can assign the domain name to any web hosting, even
a free web host such as http://example.com/mysitename
    ?
I checked the namecheap, it wants 8.8$, yahoo suggest 9.9 $ but yahoo suggest 1.9$ for the 1st year

    http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/domains/?p=BESTDEAL&AID=10435428&PID=1759994

I think I must test my site for 1 year

    which option you would take?

I think I am going for yahoo

He is referring to domains IMO richie :)
I wouldn't exactly recommend em for the registering. Try Namecheap or Godaddy.

    Domain registeration
1.9$ of yahoo certainly is cheap for 1 year,

then if I don't encounter any further problem I use yahoo for the first year and then will decide about the next years, maybe select namecheap or etc.

    whats wrong with above plan?

I've not used yahoo so i don't know much about them.
namecheap has many positive feedbacks so i recommend you use it.
    Anyway,it's up to you.

Just a note, if I remember correctly, I read that you are from Iran. You may want to check with whoever you want to sign up with if they would deal with citizens of Iran before actually signing up with them.

Sadly, because of the disagreement with the leaders of the countries, US-based companies may be barred from dealing with anyone residing in Iran.

    its a good remark,
but most of them don't list Iran in the country list if they don't want to deal with Iranians,
also I must use credit cards, which the service is not for IRan, then maybe I want another one to register in behalf me
