Domain name advice needed

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by Tormozilka, Oct 25, 2005.

One domain name "guru" suggested a name www.pressreleasesubmit.com as a very good name for a press release service. He says it's a very good domain name which is much better than other PR distribution service names, like publicana.com

I want professional appraisal for www.pressreleasesubmit.com
How much may it be worth. Is publicana.com really a bad name for a PR service?
    Thank you.

Thank you for your opinion. But let's forget about Google stats for a second.
Just as a domain name - is www.pressreleasesubmit.com good for a PR service (SEO matters aside)? And do you agree that Publicana.Com is a poor choice for Press Release distribution service? I am just trying to understand if that "guru" advice is worth anything.

Sorry about confusion, in this instance PR stands for Press Release.

Pressreleasesubmit is way too long for branding purposes. Why do you think these company no longer use their original names?

    International Business Machines -IBM
    International Computers Limited - ICL
british broadcasting Corporation - BBC (beeb) Cbeebies etc

Branding is far more important than any short term advantage for keywords IMO.

    Go with Publicana.

I agree publicana is a much better and more brandable name than the such a long hard to type name. The shorter the domain name the better it will be for your visitors to remember and less likely they will making an error typing it in.

    Good luck

Publicana.com more preferred for me. It easy to remember and easy to type in browser.
