Domain Manager, "Auto Process"

Hello, we are looking at using the domain manager to track expirations and auto-invoice for domains set to expire.

I see that the function of "Auto invoice xx days before domain expiration", but I am wondering what "triggers" the event? I do not see any item in automated tasks that would have it check the domain exp date table at a set time.

Is there somewhere I can specify how often to check, or does it just do it daily if you have that box enabled?

    Thanks so much!

Where are you seeing the Auto Invoice function exactly?

I may be mistaken, but I don't recall there being a function to auto invoice for domain renewals (outside of the domain manager).

I guess thats what I meant, the "Auto Send Rewal Invioces" from within the domain manager.

What triggers this to check the domains exp dates and auto-invoice? It's not in the auto-tasks...so it just does it on its own daily?

It does it when you click on the Domains Up For Renewal button in the Domain Manager.

So we have to manually do that everyday? Is there something we can setup to trigger that event?

No, there is not an automated task to do it. Most do it monthly (not daily) though.

(off the record, you can delete this.... is that worthy of a feature request? I know we have domains expiring daily (as a hosting co) so it would be very valuable to us)

Probably not for the current version, but possible for the rewrite.
